Ponies and Minis
Berry
Name: Berry
Breed: Grade Pony
DOB: 2021
Height: 10.2 hh
Color: Bay with star
Adoption Fee: $350
Berry recently came to Horses’ Haven through an Animal Control case.
She is a spicy one! She has the potential to be a fun partner in any career but is not kid or beginner safe at this time. Berry is the first to the gate to say hello and nickers for scratches, then may offer and ear pin and squeal. We feel she has never had boundaries set for human interaction and is learning every day! She has not been started under saddle but will continue towards that goal until adoption.
*She will require corrective shoeing due to rotation and a carefully managed, low-to-no grass pasture to support both her hoof health and weight.*
Blaze
Breed: Shetland Pony gelding
Name: Blaze
DOB: 2017
Height: ~11.1 hands
Color: Bay with blaze
Adoption Fee: $500
Blaze is an eye-catching, charismatic pony with presence well beyond his size. With his flashy movement and charming expression, he looks like a living Breyer horse—and he turns heads everywhere he goes. This adorable Shetland-type pony is truly one of the cutest we’ve had the pleasure of working with.
Blaze is hand walking over a variety of trail-style obstacles, including water, bridges, tires, poles, and gazebos. He is curious, and enjoys figuring things out. He leads nicely once caught and shows good manners on the lead line.
While we do not have confirmed information on any prior training, Blaze has already shown that he could excel in many different directions with continued education. He is intelligent, engaging, and learns best when things are introduced in a calm, consistent, and supportive way. He needs to develop resilience as well, as any unsettling experience can set him back quite a bit.
Blaze is still building confidence and routine handling skills. He can be difficult to be caught and is not considered kid-safe at this time, though this is expected to improve with time, experience, and consistent training. He may continue to do best with frequent trims as his feet recover from their previous condition.
He does best living outside in a herd environment and can show extreme distress when stalled ( due to previous history) He can live with a mixed herd, and lately has been leader of the herd.
**He will require a carefully managed, low-to-no grass pasture to support both his hoof health and weight, due to a history of laminitis**
This is a pony who truly oozes charisma and has the potential to go in many different directions with the right partner, an experienced horseperson, with the skill to bring along a project with heart, talent, and plenty of upside. Blaze is an unforgettable pony with a very bright future ahead.
Candy
Breed: Pony
DOB: ~2001
Height: ~10.2 hands
Color: Black and White
Adoption Fee: Fee - Waived Companion Adoption
Candy is a 25-year-old, 11-hand grade pony mare with plenty of personality. She is a spunky little mare who is also sweet and incredibly cute. Candy can be a bit of a handful at times, so she will do best with someone who understands ponies and appreciates her big personality in a small package. She makes very tight friendships and can be herd bound, she likes to boss of the herd.
She is good for the farrier and is versatile when it comes to her living situation. Candy can be pastured with large horses, live outside with access to shelter, or be stalled. She would also make a great addition to an established herd.
Candy came to us underweight and has been working on gaining weight and improving her overall condition. She will need continued attention to her diet and Cushing’s medication to help keep her healthy.
Candy is looking for a loving home where she can enjoy her golden years with good care and companionship. She may be a little spicy, but she has plenty of charm to go with it!

OnStar and Chris (Chrismatic)
Breed: Hackney
Sex: Gelding
DOB - 4/1/2003 and 11/1/2007
Height: 12.0 hh
Color: Bay
Fee: $350
Suitable for: Companion, Driving
Meet Chris & OnStar, a sweet and special pair looking for a home together!
These two geldings were a driving team for many years and share a strong bond, so they are being offered as a pair. Now retired, they’re ready to enjoy a quieter life with someone who will give them the care and comfort they deserve.
Chris (19) and OnStar (23) are both kind, well-mannered horses who have clearly benefited from their time in a working partnership. They lead well, handle nicely, and stand fairly well for the vet and farrier. They can live outside or be stalled, depending on your setup.
Both boys do require maintenance and will need a knowledgeable home that can manage their weight and limit grass intake to keep them healthy and feeling their best. They can be a bit nervous at times and may occasionally be hard to catch, but with patience and consistency, they settle in and build trust.
If you’re looking to give a deserving duo a soft landing and a loving retirement home, Chris and OnStar would make wonderful companions. They’re ready to bring their gentle personalities and long-time partnership to their next chapter!

Adoption fee: $500
Breed: Miniature Horsre
Sex: Gelding (Castrated 9/30/26)

Orion is a spicy but cuddly little guy- He was castrated on 9/30/26 adjusting well to life as a gelding, and is learning to live with another mini gelding- Orion would not be suitable to be around mares at this time (that may change with time & training) and would do best with an experienced horse home, due to his age and recent castration. He has nice manners in hand, for the vet and farrier.

Rosie
Breed: Pony Cross
Sex: Mare
Color: Pinto
Age : 15
Height: 10 hh
Adoption fee: $350
Rosie is a super spunky little pony mare with a big personality and “super stinkin’ cute” looks to match! She loves her friends and thrives in a herd setting, bringing plenty of fun energy to the pasture.
Rosie does require some special care—she has a history of laminitis and resulting rotation, which is currently managed with glue-on shoes. Along with insulin resistance, which requires meds at this time With appropriate diet, weight loss and pasture management, she is on the road to health ~ and can stay there with a home willing to keep her on track- It sounds a little intimidating, but we promise, this lively, lovable pony is worth the TLC!

Rowdy
Breed: Miniature Horse
Sex: Gelding (Castrated 9/30/26)
DOB: 4/22/1998
Height: 36.75 Inches
Adoption Fee: Fee Waived Companion Adoption
Rowdy is a great little guy, adjusting well to life as gelding, he's looking for a kind older full size gelding friend, who will tolerate his occasional stallion squeals and stomps, which will likely lessen over time (but maybe not!)- he's rather mellow in temperament other wise.
He's a tad creaky in the hind end, likely some age appropriate arthritis, but enjoys attention and being groomed, and has nice in hand manners.
As with all minis, he will need a low to no grass pasture, and proper diet to keep him (and his feet) healthy.

Tango
Breed: Draft x Welsh Pony Cross
Sex: Gelding
DOB: 7/6/2013
Height: 13.2 hh
Color: Dun
Adoption Fee: $350
Suitable for: Non- Riding companion, or Lead line Kids
Tango is a strikingly handsome Cream Draft/Welsh cross with a big personality and undeniable charm. He’s incredibly cute, friendly, and loves interacting with people — a true heart-stealer.
Tango has the basics of handling in place, including leading, walking, grooming, and standing for the vet and farrier, but can be pushy as his manners are rusty and requires a confident handler to help him stay mannerly during handling. Because of this he is not yet a kids horse.
He does well in a herd setting and can be pastured with mares, geldings, ponies, and miniature horses. Currently, he lives with a mixed herd on a grass free pasture, and is outside 24/7
Tango is available as a non-riding companion only due to poor confirmation, arthritis, and mild rotation in front hooves., and requires daily NSAID to be pasture sound (xrays available to adopter). His feet are being managed successfully with regular trims and proper care, and front shoes. Because of his history, he requires pasture and diet management, ideally a dry lot or very limited grass, along with close attention to his weight. With the right management, he can live a comfortable pasture life and would also make a great friend or companion.
Tango is truly a sweet, charming, and very photogenic little horse who would love a family to call his own. If you are looking for the perfect little gelding to add to your herd, Tango is your guy- just click on the "adopt me" button below!
