Ponies and Minis

Fabio- Adoption pending

Breed: Pony

Sex: Gelding

Age: 12

Height: 10.3 h
Adoption Fee:  $1000

At 12 years old and standing 10.3 hands tall, Fabio is a handsome bay paint miniature gelding with a presence that turns heads and a personality that melts hearts. With his soft eyes, striking coat, and gentle nature, he’s as charming as his name suggests.

Fabio is sweet, social, and loves attention from his people. He’s polite on the ground and easy to be around, making him a favorite among staff and visitors alike. While he has some history of being both ridden and driven in his past, we dont have a way to verify that.  He does lunge an accepted a a bareback pad without any drama.

Whether or not he's asked to do much more than look adorable and enjoy his days, Fabio is a wonderful companion. He would thrive in a home that appreciates the joy of miniature horses—whether that’s through grooming, walks, groundwork, further training, or just spending time with him in the pasture.

As with all minis or ponies, he will need a dry lot (grass free) or careful pasture management to maintain healthy feet & body

Fabio is currently best friends with Millie, a tiny 32-inch tall paint mare with a big heart. While they can be adopted separately, they’re quite the adorable duo—and we’re offering a discounted adoption fee if they’re adopted together. https://www.myrighthorse.org/available-horses/mare-miniature-horse-from-howell-millie

If you’re looking for a kind and steady mini with classic good looks and a heart full of love, Fabio is ready to meet you.

Adopt Me!

Cisco

Breed: Shetland Cross

Sex: Gelding

Age: 18

Height: 10.0hh

Color: Dark Bay
Adoption Fee:  $350

3/7/25 Cisco is a handsome little Shetland cross with lots of personality spunk. What he lacks in size he makes up for in attitude. We are still getting to know this little guy and don’t have too much to share about him so stay tuned for updates!

Cisco can be a little shy and standoffish at first but is overall a gentleman once caught and he has shown us good manners for leading, and standing for the vet. He wild need time and patience to become comfortable with being touched behind the withers, he's currently very reactive, and will kick out hard when trying to groom or pick up back feet.

He has no training for riding or driving so at this point he would require a companion only home, and as for all ponies he would require pasture and forage management to maintain a proper weight. At this time we still feel that he would do best with a confident handler who can continue to working on good manners. If you would like to add a spunky little companion to your herd, Cisco is your guy!

Adopt Me!

Valentine

Breed: Grade

Sex: Mare

Age: 2

Height: 13.1

Color: Chestnut
Adoption Fee:  $1000

Suitable For: Adopter with previous horse starting experience, or experienced handler working closely with trainer

5/27/25

Valentine is 2 year old grade pony mare that was originally rounded up from the feral strip mine herds in Kentucky, and was still believed to be in foal when she was transferred to us in December, but it turned out not to be the case. Since December she has lived the life of a pregnant mare while learning the basics of handling & beginning the process of becoming a good equine citizen (while being just a youngster herself.)  As we've recently confirmed she's not in foal, she's ready to find her perfect home

Shes smart, curious and with all the sass of the true toddler she is. Valentine is fun & engaging to work with, a true blank slate & a beautiful mover! Valentine will need an adopter with prior horse starting experience- or an experienced handler working closely with a trainer.

At just 2, she's not ready to be started under saddle, but her adopter can begin training and laying all the ground work

She is not yet a kids pony, or ready to be handled by children,

She IS ready to have some fun & start learning everything from the ground up!

Adopt Me!

Odisea

Breed: Paso Fino

Sex: Mare

Age: 23

Height: 14

Color: Black
Adoption Fee:  $350

Odisea de San Isidro

Odisea is a sweet, registered Paso Fino mare with a gentle heart and a resilient spirit. She came to us through a law enforcement seizure, severely underweight, and in need of a second chance. Despite everything she’s endured, Odisea has shown nothing but kindness, patience, and an enduring softness that touches everyone who meets her.

Now safe and cared for, Odisea is on the road to recovery—steadily gaining weight, enjoying nutritious meals, and building strength every day. Her hooves are also on the mend with the help of glue-on shoes and a dedicated farrier team helping her grow strong, healthy feet again.

Odisea absolutely loves to be groomed and go on quiet walks, especially with a gentle hand and kind voice by her side. She would thrive in a calm, loving retirement home where she can enjoy peaceful days, soft brushes, and the companionship of caring humans or a mellow herd.

If you're looking to make a real difference in the life of a deserving soul, Odisea could be the perfect companion. Give her the peace and love she’s earned.

Adopt Me!

Mariah

Breed: Pony

Sex: Mare

Age: 25+

Height: 12.2hh

Color: Black
Adoption Fee:  $350 (eligible for fee-waived companion adoption)

What she lacks in size, this pony makes up for in personality. Mariah is a fun and spunky old gal who is 25+ (she feels it’s impolite to ask a lady her age).

As with all ponies, she requires proper pasture management in order to maintain her health. Mariah did not have any formal under saddle training in her younger years, but does enjoy being groomed. She does have Cushing’s disease and requires light maintenance (Prascend) to keep her healthy.

Mariah is a fun little pony with lots of spunk and personality, she is sweet and social and does well in a group of horses. Mariah is looking for her next partner in crime and would love to have a nice retirement home as a companion.

Adopt Me!

Millie- Adoption pending

Breed: Miniature Horse

Sex: Mare

Age: 8

Height: 32 inches

Adoption Fee:  $500

Standing at just 32 inches tall, Millie might be tiny—but she has a huge personality and an even bigger heart. This 7-year-old miniature horse is the total package: incredibly sweet, super social, and easy to love.

Millie is a striking little lady with a flashy chestnut paint coat that makes her stand out in any herd. She’s the first to greet you at the gate and absolutely thrives on attention—pets, brushes, scratches, you name it. She’s well-mannered, gentle, and respectful on the ground, making her a joy to be around.

While we haven’t found evidence of formal training, Millie is smart and curious, and could be a fun partner for someone interested in light groundwork, obstacle play, or just quality time with a very adorable companion. She’d also make a lovely addition to a therapy or education program, or simply a beloved pasture pet.

If you’re looking for a tiny horse with a giant heart, Millie is ready to meet you. She’s patiently waiting for her forever home—one filled with love, and plenty of attention (her favorite thing in the world).

Millie you may also notice from the pictures, is quite plump, and needs more exercise in her life.  Like all minis & ponies, she needs a dry lot or careful pasture management to maintain over all health

She is pictured with her friend Fabio, they can be adopted separately but we will discount their adoption fee if adopted together https://www.myrighthorse.org/available-horses/gelding-miniature-horse-from-howell-fabio

Adopt Me!

Theodore

Breed: Miniature Horse

Sex: Gelding

Age: 8

Height: 9hh

Color: Chestnut
Adoption Fee:  $500

Meet Theodore! Theodore is a sweet little guy with a big heart and lots left to give. He has good manners for leading, handling, and grooming. Theodore can be a bit shy at first but once he warms up to you he will readily greet you at the gate.

Theodore is up to date on all medical needs but does have a minor case of DSLD, however he is still sound and comfortable and has passed a soundness exam including x-rays. As with all ponies he would require proper pasture management and limited grass to maintain a healthy weight

He has no training under saddle or driving so he would adopted as a companion only at this point, but with the potential to be trained for several disciplines.   Theodore is truly a sweet little guy best suited for someone with previous horse experience.
