Belle is a kind, easygoing Rocky Mountain mare ready for a peaceful retirement after a long, well-lived life. She gets along well in a herd of mares and can also be comfortably stalled.
Due to her age and limited teeth, Belle needs soaked feed and soaked hay cubes as her primary diet. She also requires Pracend to manage Cushing’s. With these simple accommodations, she stays comfortable and content.
Belle has a genuinely pleasant disposition and would make a wonderful addition to a calm, caring home looking for a gentle pasture companion.

Bishop is a handsome red dun Quarter Horse with a sweet, willing nature and a sporty look. He’s friendly and social, though he can be a bit pushy, so he’ll thrive with a confident, experienced handler.
He is a kind, easygoing pasture mate and gets along very well in a herd of geldings, making him a great companion horse. Bishop does need ongoing maintenance to stay comfortable due to fusing hocks and knee arthritis. While he’s said to have a riding history, we haven’t evaluated him under saddle because of these medical issues.
Bishop is currently pending training evaluation to determine whether he could be suitable for occasional light riding.
If you’re looking for a gentle, companionable gelding who appreciates good care and steady guidance, Bishop might be the perfect fit.

Champ is an amazing thoroughbred with a very sweet temperament. Champ loves to be spoiled, especially with treats! While he has a riding history - he is available as a non- riding companion only as he has a history of bolting in stressful situations. But overall, he's relaxed in the pasture and a good friend - he lives outside 24/7 with a group of geldings. He's well behaved for farrier & vet. He is barefoot and has no maintenance. His adoption fee will be waived for the perfect situation.

Champagne has been loved and well cared for, and she’s ready for a calm home where she can enjoy turnout, companionship, and consistent care. A great fit for someone wanting a steady, low-key pasture companion.

Doc is being offered as a non- riding companion, he reportedly has a history of being ridden, but upon evaluation, proved companion is his best role.

Doc is a very good friend and bonds strongly with his pasture mates, he can be stressed when separated

Dolly-Sue is a social butterfly who loves attention, scratches, and hanging out with her herd (and yes, she’s even lived with cows — she’s very open-minded ). She’ll greet you at the gate, pose for photos, and soak up all the love... as long as things stay calm.
Here’s the deal: Dolly-Sue is a great pasture companion, not a project or performance horse. She can bolt in stressful situations — and not like, a dainty “oopsie” trot-off… more like, “new personal best in the 100m dash.” So she’s not a match for kids, beginners, or showing.
But if you want a sweet, funny, and drama-free mare who’ll keep the whole herd happy and charm every human she meets, Dolly-Sue is your girl. She gets along with everyone — horses, cows, people, she’s even good for farrier & vet and she’ll happily supervise pasture life like the pretty little queen she is.

This sweet senior mare has quickly become a barn favorite. She arrived underweight, with neglected feet, and blind in one eye—but from the very start, her calm and affectionate nature has shone through.
She’s an absolute sweetheart who adores grooming sessions and will happily stand for as long as you’ll let her, soaking up the attention and quietly bonding with her person.
She’s now steadily gaining weight, receiving regular farrier care, and gradually building the muscle she needs. While she’s still on her journey to full health, she’s making wonderful progress each day.
Due to her continued recovery needs, she’ll require an experienced horseperson who can support her as she continues to thrive.
She can be pastured with mares or geldings, including her best friend Doc, a sweet gelding brought in with her.

Oakley stands well for the vet and farrier and is generally easy to handle. He has severe arthritis along his back, which can be painful and requires ongoing maintenance to keep him comfortable in the pasture. Because of this, Oakley is not suitable for riding.
He would make a solid companion horse and a good addition to a herd for someone looking to provide a comfortable, supportive home for a sweet gelding.

Paris is an absolute sweetheart—kind, easygoing, grade/gaited mare. When she first arrived, she was very shy and guarded, but with time and gentle handling she has grown into a
soft, affectionate mare who loves her people.
Paris does have some ongoing medical needs. She requires maintenance to stay pasture-comfortable, is kept in a quiet pasture with dry, level ground, and wears shoes with wedges due to navicular and other hoof-related issues. She also prefers to be stalled at night, especially during colder weather, where she feels safe and cozy, but can live comfortably outside with good shelter.
Though she has come a long way, Paris still needs a calm, patient, and experienced horseperson to continue helping her build confidence. She’s working on improving her farrier skills and becoming less fearful with handling.
In her time here, Paris has completely captured the hearts of our staff and volunteers—everyone adores her and cheers her on every step of the way. Paris is truly an angel of a mare, ready for a peaceful, loving retirement where she can be cherished and spoiled for the rest of her days.
