BANJO- Adoption Pending!
Breed: Tennessee Walker     Sex: Gelding      Foaled:  2001       Age: 20      Height: 15.1hh
Color: Chestnut, star, left hind pastern

Suitable for: Trail riding, under evaluation
Adoption Fee: $1000

New Arrival!  Banjo is a trail horse through and through! His gaits are very smooth and forward, just perfect for a long trail ride. He is blind in the right eye, but he doesn't seem to mind and it does not require any special care. Even though he is blind in one eye, he is not nervous on that side and has shown no spooking behaviors. Banjo has a very "been there, done that" sort of attitude and seems to know his job very well. He does well in an arena setting but seems like he would rather get out on the trails. We have tried him in a gaited bit and double break snaffle and he seems to prefer the snaffle. Out in the pasture he is middle to low in the pecking order and will walk away from confrontation rather than engage. He stands nicely at the tie and for tacking and mounting at the mounting block.  His walk is  ground covering and his second gait is very smooth to ride. Under saddle he seems to have unlimited energy and would likely keep up all day long.  Banjo is a really sweet guy who listens very well to his rider or handler and is good for vet and farrier.

DENALI
Breed: Egyptian Arabian    Sex: Gelding      Foaled: 2007        Age: 14      Height: ~14.2hh
Color: Black/Seal Brown

Suitable for: Experienced rider
Adoption Fee: $1500

Denali is an absolutely stunning, well bred Egyptian Arabian with Thee Desperado and Huckleberry Bey in his pedigree.  He has had western and trail training in his past, has been worked bitless and in a snaffle, and was trained to picket line.  He has had a few years off work and has been evaluated under saddle to determine where he is now in his training.  Even after having a break he politely accepted a rider but will need an experienced person who can help him dust off his skills and gain a solid foundation.  Denali bonds quickly with people, is the first to greet you at the gate and enjoys coming up to the barn to work, he just loves all the attention.   In the pasture he is on the dominant side but when in with a stronger horse he is quite happy to stay in the middle of the pack.  He was adopted out recently to a home with a mare.  The adopter absolutely loved him but they found that he does not get along well with mares and he returned to us.  Denali will need a home where he can be pastured with geldings only.  He loads well, is easy to handle and great for the farrier and vet.

Limitations/Maintenance: Blind in left eye

Adoption Fee: $750

This tall dark and handsome guy is absolutely stunning under saddle.  Gunner is very forward and is learning how to relax, slow down and take it easy.  Because of how forward he can be Gunner will require a calm confident rider.  He has a very comfortable ground covering gait and listens well to riders aids.  You would never know that he was 20, he is sound, full of energy and a willingness to work.  Gunner is easy to handle, groom, tack and trailer.  If out on the trails he would prefer to ride with other horses.
