Another one of my buds is Ch. Cancun, who is an 20 year old American Saddlebred. I understand he was quite the big-time show horse and won many championships. He won so much, in fact, that the national registry permanently affixed "Champion" to his name. Wow, a celebrity known coast to coast for his many wins is one of my buds. Wonder if I should be asking for his hoofograph.

He came to Horses' Haven in fall of 2000 when one of his previous owners gave him away to someone who was in turn going to either put an ad in the paper for him as a "free horse" or take him to the auction. At the last minute, she called Horses' Haven and we made room for him here at Horses' Haven. You see, he can't be ridden anymore because of a blown-out hock and people put so much stock in being able to ride us that some don't even want us if we have problems.

Horses' Haven isn't like that though, so Ch. Cancun has a great home here as one of my best friends. He's looking for sponsors to help support him while he retires here.
