Over here we have Big Danny...well, his name is Danny, but since we already have a Danny here at Horses' Haven, we added the Big to his name. He is a 23 year old part Clydesdale and part Appaloosa gelding.

The word around the barn is he went through one of those horse auctions (we don't like to talk about those), and was sold to the meat buyer...gasp (and we don't like to even whisper those two words). However, a kind soul bought him from the meat buyer even though she couldn't really afford to keep him, so contacted Horses' Haven to see if we could find room for him.

I think he's kind of handsome...love that dark coat with the which markings as they make him stand out from the crowd. He's very gentle, but doesn't appear to know too much as I saw the volunteers working with him to teach him how to lead, which all of us horses know is one of the basics when it comes to horse education.
